Train Your Bird Dog!
Are you are looking to develop a champion performer or
just a reliable hunting companion?
In either case you will want to come and see dog
demonstrations featuring both pointing dogs and flushing retrievers. The
demonstrations to be conducted by C. J. Kausel, Hunt
Smart Productions and the Colorado Gun Dog Association and Carol Brady,
Sunshine Retrievers and the Colorado Foothills Retriever Club .
The program, designed for the “Do It Yourself ” dog trainer, will be conducted in an open forum
“town hall ” meeting format.
So come with your questions anytime during the hours
listed below. You are welcome to bring your dog as we will work with you
on your training issues.
Topics Include:
Fundamentals of dog training; how to communicate with
your dog;
proper use of leads, leashes and check cords;
obedience commands; whistle commands; proper use of the e-collar; introduction
to gunfire;
introduction to birds; and retrieving are just some
of the issues open for discussion.
